Irrelevant Ramblings
from the mind of a misfit toy

We all like to have cool wallpaper on our computer.  Some like cars, or sports, lots of us put pictures of our kids.  Sometimes though it is nice to have a cool wallpaper that we found on some site.

I found this cool little place where they have these things called wallpaper clocks.  The wallpaper is stylish, and functional all at the same time.  Below is a picture of my desktop, which is also a working clock.

This is the x-ray from the day of the accident. Nice break!

This is an x-ray of the break as it looks today. The white is the rod that was inserted into the middle of the bone. You can also see the pin at the top, that keeps the rod from rotating.

Morphine Hallucinations

May 29th, 2008

So due to the pain of my accident, I was given large amounts of morphine. To be honest at the scene of the accident I received a lot of morphine and it really didn’t help all that much, it did take some of the pain, but not as much as I though it would.

Anyway, as you may or may not know, Morphine is an opiate, which means it’s derived from Opium. So after being on a Morphine drip I.V. in the hospital for a week, there was a little bit of withdrawal symptoms. One of those symptoms are hallucinations, and man did I have my share. I thought I would tell you about one of them.

The most recurring one was of a little monkey. Now that may sound like nothing, but this cute little monkey was perched atop the shelf across from my bed and was constantly trying to kill me. What made this hallucination so interesting was the fact that he was trying to kill me by throwing little carrot throwing stars at me. I would constantly wake up and look around the room to see if I was dreaming or what? Over the course of the next couple of days I had many more other hallucinations, but it was the money that kept showing up. It didn’t matter what I was doing or who was visiting me, that monkey kept trying to get me. Awake or asleep, he was there.

He never did though.
